The Isle of Wight raised, fuzzed up Indie/Pop artist claims: 'Don't tell me stories, I'll write songs about them'.
After a successful year of releases, securing premieres via Clash Magazine and support via Crack in the Road. A stream of successful live dates (including a sell out headline show, Clean Cut Kid/ Sarah Close support and taking to Bestival main stage) - Lauran's ever-growing sound hints at a grander live vision, captured eloquently in her recordings to date. Tom Robinson at BBC 6 Music described her latest release 'Hunny is this what adults do?' as ' a colourful animation in which Lauran's left - field personality spills over' he went on to say 'It's uniqueness of sound is what makes this song so darned stand-out attractive.' With even more under her belt, including 'Bryde' tour support and being selected via Hurd Music for vinyl pressing - it's looking like 2018 will be a great year for Lauran with lots of new releases to come.
CLASH: Lauran Hibberd has an innate knack with melodies. Each song from the rising talent feels immaculately well packaged, the finely honed verse leading to a gleefully contagious chorus.
CRACK IN THE ROAD: Lauran Hibberd’s songwriting has a real sense of personality and character to it – a trait that’s increasingly rare in a passively playlist orientated world.
